First Aid Kit in Schools

In learning institutions, injuries are experienced among the students which require first aid before rushing the sick student to the hospital. First aid kit should therefore be available in the school for use during emergency cases in the institutions. However the students should be trained on how to carry out the first aid exercise to the sick and the injured that require immediate attention. The students are also supposed to be trained on how to handle the first aid kit to avoid further injuries. In addition, there should be the group of students in charge of carrying out first aid exercise to the sick and also for handling the kits in school for their safety. The kit is used mostly during games and sports where injuries occur in the field. The injured are given first aid for instance by dressing the wounds for those injured. It is therefore important to always have first aid kit at our disposal.

A first aid kit should have supplies for dressing of wound and injuries. Due to the highly dangerous laboratory environment, every lab should have first aid kits. Accidents are normally spontaneous. When they occur casualties will most likely be there. Part of preventing future accidents depends on the quality of investigations carried out. Recommendations from investigative reports have been used in the past to develop safety procedures in a lab. Site investigation and interviews are key I establishing the case of accidents. Data quality is crucial. No detail should be left out or ignored. The victims must give an accurate description of events. It is also important to obtain relevant information about the facility under investigation. Testing record of equipments in the lab should be obtained. This may give a clue of potential contributing factors. Ask open minded questions while investigating. This helps the witness to reflect on the events more accurately.

Employee Vehicles Should Include Car Emergency Kit

According OSHA regulations, large corporate vehicle fleet takes some management to keep safe and well prepared, especially if the cars are shared by a number of employees. If you are the administrator of such a fleet of vehicles, you need to make sure that each and every car includes a car emergency kit as a standard part of the check out procedure for the vehicle. The vehicle kits should include some food, water, and a blanket in case the driver becomes stranded somewhere. It should also include roadside flares that can be activated to warn other drivers. One easy addition is a disposable camera that can be used if there is a car accident that should be documented. Ask the drivers to alert you if they needed to use any of the materials from the kit, so that you can promptly replace them when needed. As always, it is better to be over prepared than under.
